KEY QUALIFICATIONS Professor Francis N. Kibera holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Business Administration from University of Toronto, and a Master of Business Administration from University of Alberta, Canada. He did his Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree program at the University of East Africa (University College, Nairobi). He has extensive administrative and management experience in the public sector particularly in the education and training sub-sector. He has also undertaken many value-adding research and consultancy projects in areas of strategic management, customer and employee satisfaction in the Public Service, marketing, and institutional development and capacity building. He has experience of over 30 years as a senior academician in the School of Business University of Nairobi. He has extensively consulted in management and capacity building with many institutions of higher learning including University of Botswana, University of Namibia, Makerere University, University of Zimbabwe, University of Zambia, University of Dar- Es- Salaam, Kenyatta University, Presbyterian University of East Africa, and Africa Nazarene University. Professor Kibera has a vast regional experience having handled management consultancy assignments in Botswana, Ethiopia, Malawi, Lesotho, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Namibia and South Africa. He has also studied problems and opportunities of transferring western management know-how to Kenya; challenges and opportunities of female entrepreneurship in small-scale enterprises in Kenya and the Nairobi Securities Exchange.
