• Developed FRET-based genetically encoded nanosensors for real time

monitoring of lysine, methionine, glutamine, leucine, zinc and glycine betaine in living cells (Published in PLoS One 2012; Biosensors & Bioelectronics 2013; 2014; 2016; J of Nanobiotechnology 2016)

• Identified candidate genes for low-N tolerance in wheat and rice through analysis of proteome profile of low-N tolerant and low-N sensitive varieties (Published in Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology 2012; Molecular Breeding 2013, Frontier in Plant Science, 2016)

• Identified differentially expressed miRNA in low-N tolerant and low-N

sensitive rice genotypes (Published in PLoS One 2012)

• Developed LAMP-based and SCAR-based technique for the identification of

genuine medicinal plant

• Identified two forms of nitrate reductases (NR) in Indian mustard and explained that the two NRs appear to be induced in sequence during growth and development of the mustard plant, and nitrate concentration plays an important role in their sequential expression (Published in Plant Science, 1999, Biologia Plantarum, 2003).
