ascertain her exact stature. The record for the shortest living woman already belongs to

an Indian Jyoti Amge, who is just 62.8 cm tall).

He was the founder of Dolby Laboratories. Ray Dolby gave cinema viewing a

written papers on videotape recording, long-wavelength X-ray analysis, and noise

reduction.

Voyager 1 has become the first human-made object to venture into interstellar space

Mohammedan Sporting won the Durand Cup Football tournament 2013 after

defeating ONGC in the finals. (Mohammedan Sporting of Kolkota won this prestigious

tournament after a huge gap of 73 years. It last won this tournament in 1940.

Bank of China launched China’s first direct bank. Direct bank stands for a bank which

provides direct banking services without having conventional bank branches. (Direct

banks mainly provide banking through online and telephone modes. These banks

generally provide ATM services through alliances of interbank networks)

Sandeep Tulsi Yadav - Yadav won India’s first ever medal in Greco Roman category at

the World Wrestling Championships when he won the bronze medal by beating Serbian

Makismovic Aleksandar at the concluding day of World Wrestling Championships at

Budapest, Hungary. Sandeep Tulsi Yadav. Indian wrestlers have been traditionally strong



in freestyle category but they have not been very successful in Greco-Roman category of

wrestling.

A new James Bond novel titled ‘Solo’ was released in London. William Boyd has

written this novel. (In this latest adventure, James Bond is taken to war-torn Africa back

in the 1960s).
