Award for his works in Hindi cinema at the Cardiff International Film Festival (CIFF )

2019 held in Wales, United Kingdom. Veteran Hollywood star-actress Dame Judith

Olivia Dench was also honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award at the ceremony

Renowed hindi writer Leeladhar Jagoori was conferred with the 28th Vyas Samman for

the year 2018 in New Delhi. The award was conferred to him by well known author

Govind Mishra, for his 12th anthology (collection of poems or other pieces of writings) of

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo presented the prestigious Award for Corporate

Excellence to Pepsico India.

The 50th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will honour superstar

Rajinikanth with a special Icon of Golden Jubilee Award and the Life Time Achievement

Award for a Foreign Artiste will be conferred to French Actress Isabelle Huppert.

International acclaimed Sand Artist Sudarsan Pattnaik who belongs to Odisha has been

selected for the prestigious Italian Golden Sand Art Award 2019.

Indian-origin researcher, Dr Neeraj Sharma (35) from the University of New South

BRICS-Young Innovator Prize, 2019. He was awarded during the 4th BRICS-Young

Scientist Forum (YSF), 2019 held from November 6-8,2019 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Critically acclaimed movie “Bhonsle” has won prestigious awards at the Asian Film

Festival held in Barcelona, Spain. The film has bagged two awards in the ‘Best

Screenplay’ and ‘Best Director’ categories at the festival. The film

is directed by Devashish Makhija.

The veteran actors Sridevi and Rekha were conferred with the Akkineni Nageswara Rao

National Award for 2018 and 2019 respectively.

Bannya has conferred the ICCR distinguished alumni award in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

India’s largest power generation company NTPC ltd (National Thermal Power

Corporation Limited) was bestowed with ‘Golden Peacock Award for Sustainability’

2019 award for its efforts in providing cleaner and green energy, in-order to minimize

environmental impact.

Wheelchair –bound Hridayeshwar Singh Bhati (17) from jaipur was selected for

National award for empowerment of person with Disabilities, 2019 under the

category- Outstanding Creative Child (Male) 2019.

President Ram Nath Kovind and Supreme Commander of Indian Armed Forces

awarded President’s Colour to Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala at Kochi, Kerala.

Eliud Kipchoge, the first man to run a marathon in less than two hours, and 400 metres

hurdles world champion Dalilah Muhammad won the World Athlete of the Year awards.

2019 Gold-Medalist from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT-R) & founder of

in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

The 50th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) was held in Goa from

November 20-28, 2019. Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and Kollywood actor

Rajinikanth together announced the 50th edition of the IFFI open, in presence of Union

Minister for Information & Broadcasting (MoIB) Shri Prakash Javadekar and other

officials. The festival opened with the Italian film ‘Despite the Fog’ directed by Goran

Paskaljevic.

The 25th Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) held in kolkata. Germany is the Focus Country of this year’s festival. In all, 214 Feature Films and 152 Short and Documentary Films from 76 countries will be screened at 17 venues.
