• Dave Mochilero is a Colombian singer-song-writer who, from a couple of years ago, has performed with his own music productions in Europe. Dave’s passion for Latin American music, dance and folklore brought him ac-cidentally closer to the Dutch-Cuban music impassioned Jack, Eric and Ferdi during the summer of 2016.
• What they all had in common was the desire to transport the audience to the party streets of Latin America with their music. In this way, Dave Mochilero y Su Candela started in 2017, their live performance a mix of Cumbia Pop and Cuban classics.

Dave has played more100 concerts around
Europe and Colombia. He has released 2 EPs
independently: Mochilero 2011 and Ciao Bella(2013).
In 2012 he reached the semifinals of the songwriter
category of “Nederland Grote Prijs”. In 2012 and 2014 Dave was selected
as the supporting act for world¬-famous star Juanes at Paradiso in Amsterdam.
Award winning saxophonist with more than 30 years’ experience as
a professional musician, composer, coach and performer. Micro-tonality expert and master of improvisation.
Ferdi has produced, collaborated and toured with numerous music
companies around the world within the genres of jazz, classical, theater,
ballet and world music.

Jack Maas Erik Olij
Percussionist since the early ‘70s. He studied and specialized for many years in Latino American music and later on traveled to Cuba to perfect his technique and learn new styles. He played with numerous bands and groups all over Europe and Cuba. Jack plays bongó, tumbadora and pailitas in Dave Mochilero y Su Candela
Studied double bass and electric bass at a conservatory and specialized in Jazz
and Latin music. He played with
numerous Jazz and Latin groups. In Dave
Mochilero y Su Candela, Erik plays
the double bass and sings chorus.
