This program is intended for school leaders, co-ordinators, teachers and parent leaders. It will assist participants in gaining deeper understanding of the connections between Peace, Ecology and Justice. Participants will see that a Culture of Peace involves:
• A commitment to life for all
• Working for justice
• Solidarity with those living in poverty
• Dialogue and Listening
• Promotion of non-violence
• Preservation of the Earth
The program offers a range of strategies and resources for the implementation of initiatives within the school community. The two day program will involve;
• Modelling and practice of recommended approaches and skills for implementation in the school.
• Discussion and planning with other educators
• Information about Catholic and Church agencies working in the field
• Individual reading and reflection
• Input from individuals working in the area of Peace, Ecology and Justice

Participants will
• Appreciate ways that Catholic Schools are places of active Christian community and Evangelisation and an influence in the broader community
• Hear and respond to the Gospel call to ecological conversion, non-violence, justice and compassion
• Understand some current issues related to Peace,Ecology and Justice
• Have greater knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching on Peace, Ecology and Justice
• Develop approaches to the evangelising mission of the Church and Proclamation of the Kingdom of God
• Be committed to action for Peace, Ecology and Justice
• Be able to use the Catholic Social Teaching learning Framework
• Develop strategies for integrating Peace, Ecology and Justice Education and initiatives within their School
