X International Scientific Conference

CULTURAL HERITAGE – AXIOLOGY, PROTECTION,

TRANSGRESSION

Kalisz, 19–20th September 2019, Poland

Cultural heritage shapes human personality. Intergenerational transmission occurs through manifestations of human existence and intellectual creations. Monuments are a testament to the past and a document of it. Analysis of the issues related to cultural heritage helps to propose far-reaching proposals in order to protect effectively human cultural patrimony. The aim of the conference is to promote the protection of cultural heritage in a spirit of dialogue and respect for cultural pluralism. This conference, organised on a regular basis, is interdisciplinary in its character. In 2019 a jubilee tenth conference concerning protection of cultural heritage will be held. We cordially invite all possible participants to submit proposals of presentations. The range of problematic aspects to be discussed during the conference is exceedingly broad as far as the proposals of presentations are concerned. Below there is an exemplary list of possible conference issues:

* the anthropology of identity, cultural, medical, historical, political, anthropology of the media * the artefacts of legal culture, medical, art, literary, forestry, pastoral culture * ecofacts in the context of cultural landscape and the protection of natural heritage * architecture, the shaping and protection of landscape, cultural ecology, ecomuseums, tourism and ecology * the protection of material heritage: movable monuments (e.g. archives, books, sheet music, musical instruments, pieces of art, sepulchral sculptures, photographs, folklore and folk art, traditional handicrafts, numismatic items, seals, banners, militaria, means of transport); immovable monuments (e.g. sacred and secular buildings, architecture of residences, architectural urban and rural layouts, fortifications, industrial buildings, menhirs and necropolises); archaeological monuments (e.g. art, religious, economic relics, the remains of prehistoric and historic settlements, underwater relics) * the restoration and preservation, the adaptation of historical buildings and the primary functions of the structures, the organisation of authorities responsible for the protection of monuments; churchly organisations for the care of religious structures * monasticism, lay and knight orders and their contribution into the art and culture * the protection of the non-material cultural heritage (like languages and dialects, the art of dialogue, songs, legends, everyday customs, rituals, folk meteorology) * the protection of extermination sites and the places of remembrance * settlement, peregrinations, Polish diasporas in the world, Polonica, the protection of borderland cultural heritage and beyond the borders of country of origin * the protection of monuments in case of random incidents, crime, crisis situations, military conflicts * the old and contemporary artistic patronage, museology and collecting * the philosophy of the protection of cultural and natural heritage * legal protection of cultural and natural heritage in domestic, European and international law * international agreements on the protection of cultural goods, cultural cooperation, the protection of natural environment * the right of access to cultural goods in the information society * the creativity and limitations of artistic freedom in the light of legal regulations

* human rights in the field of culture, cultural contexts of human rights

The presentations of the speakers are expected to be 15 minutes long

The conference fee is 430 PLN (the fee covers the cost of conference participation, conference

materials, print of a scientific book with articles, coffee buffet, dinners and supper)

The papers will be published in a scientific monograph in 2020

There is a possibility of booking a room in “Dom Studenta” (Academic Hostel), the hall of residence of the Faculty, at an affordable additional cost. The building is situated within the same complex where the conference will be held. Reservation can be booked by 31

- the text file ought to be named with the name and surname of the author, saved in the WORD format - the text can be written in any congress language; if it is going to be written not in the Polish language,

the text should be checked for the potential grammar errors and stylistic mistakes - the article should be at least half sheet publishing

- page formatting: Margins (a function of the WORD program):
