Football is the most popular sport in Brazil. Football quickly became a
passion for Brazilians, who often refer to their country as "o País do Futebol"
("the country of football". !er #$,$$$ Brazilians play professionally all oer
the world.
Football has a ma%or e&ect on Brazilian 'ulture. t is the faorite
pastime of youn)sters playin) football on the streets and indoor Futebol de

!ne unique aspect of football in Brazil is the importance of the

national competitions unfeasible, so the competition centered on state
