The Role of CUAbroad
Develops and administers education abroad opportunities for CUA and non-CUA students
Coordinates efforts with CUA academic and administrative units and institutions in the US and abroad
Serves the students and the CUA community

CUAbroad Strategic Goals 2008-2009
To support the university’s efforts to strengthen the student experience, CUAbroad will:
Review and assess existing CUA education abroad programs & initiate new programsDevelop guidelines and procedures for education abroad program evaluation and proposal (including health, safety and liability, emergency protocol, etc.) Encourage faculty to get involved in leading education abroad programs (short-term programs)

Semester Abroad Overview
Earn up to 15 creditsMust have completed 45 credits Full-time degree-seeking student at the time of application2.8 minimum G.P.A. and no disciplinary probation (The Oxford Honors program requires 3.5 G.P.A.) CUA in Rome – FLAGSHIP PROGRAM
Full-time on-site CUA resident directorFall & Spring semesters Use of CUA’s own facilities: library, computer lab, student lounge Excursions to Tuscany and the Bay of NaplesNo prior knowledge of Italian required Courses are taught in English & ItalianLiberal Arts Track (live in dorm, 1 Italian course)Immersion Track (host family, 2 Italian courses)
CUA’s Oxford Honors Program
Fall and Spring Semesters (starting fall 2009)3.5 G.P.A. for undergraduates (3.8 for graduates)A wide range of subjectsTake 3 tutorials totaling 15 credits for undergrads and 9 for graduatesStudents will be reading, researching and writing when not meeting with their tutorsOxford college affiliation Live in Oxford student housing (single

International Internships
