Tactical Data Link tools Suite

The TDL Tool Suite is being currently used by Spanish MOD with a high level of satisfaction, since the results obtained are covering all the Link16 requirement for implementation and operation.

This Suite includes Link16 equipments and software applications for supporting the Link 16 integration in Ship Platforms as well as applications to test and validate the appropriate performance of the platforms in the Link16 networks.

All these tools are specifically designed to work together with the Multifunctional Information Distribution System- Low Volume Terminal (MIDS-LVT) which provides to the Platform, where is integrated, a full link16 capability.

The MIDS-LVT guarantees full interoperability between Joint and Allied Forces in accordance with MIDS STANAG 4175 and Link 16 STANAG 5516 and ADSIA D/4 (IJMS).

Most of the items enclosed in the Tactical Data Link Tools Suite have come up as requirements of the Spanish MOD to cover and solve all the necessities found during the Link16 integration in the Platforms and also during the tactical operations performed. In other hand, some of them have been designed specifically to ease specific Link16 tasks that, otherwise, will take a long time to perform without the adequate tools.

The Link16 Tools Suite is divided in two categories: Hardware Equipments and Software Applications.
