CTG puts the world’s largest direct melting installation for textile glass filament yarns into operation.

After several years of planning and intensive collaborati-on between CTG/Taishan Fiberglass and Volkmann, the world’s largest direct melting installation for the produc-tion of textile glass filament yarns went into operation in December 2015 with an annual capacity of 50,000 tons in Shandong Province, China.At the same time the installation at CTG is also the lar-gest plant installation of our product Volkmann Glass Twister (VGT) worldwide with a machine capacity of 93 machines in a number of different configurations.During the several years of cooperation, our product VGT was optimally designed to meet the requirements of the customer who is thus now able to reap the known benefits of our product series VGT, namely, effici-ency, user friendliness and top end-product qualities.As already in the past, our VGT products have been able to guarantee smooth-running, continuous produc-tion throughout the whole processing chain. The quali-ties manufactured at CTG are primarily used in the pro-duction of electronic circuit boards.
