www.ct-group.com The official inauguration ceremony of the Jetty Boil-Off Gas Recovery (JBOG) Project took place in Ras Laffan Industrial City last month. The ceremony, attended by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry, celebrated one of the largest environmental investments in the world and represented a significant milestone in the State of Qatar’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions from its LNG industry. Event company Habegger AG contracted Creative Technology (CT) to provide audio and video to the Inauguration ceremony. Providing Watchout, two studio cameras and two remote head cameras, CT also provided four blended projectors running in portrait mode, with one in landscape mode to create a seamless and extensive 18m x 8m screen with PIP featured to minimise any camera delay. For the audio requirements a complete d&b system was supplied from CT’s Middle East operation’s inventory, and included 20 Q1 speakers distributed in three and four speaker line arrays, four Q7s as delays and E3s for fills ensuring even distribution and coverage of the audience area. Low end re-enforcement was provided by four Q-subs and four B2 subs, all running from d&b D12 and D6 amplifiers, wirelessly remote controlled via tablet computer from d&b’s R1 software. A fully redundant Dante audio network was deployed for the main show, utilising a Yamaha CL5 console at Front Of House with a CL3 running as live backup. The system was designed and installed in a way so that in the unlikely event of a hardware failure there was a back-up solution ready so that the show could continue without the need to re-patch any of the system. The Yamaha CL5 fed the amplifiers via AES with the CL3 backup console using the analogue inputs of the amplifiers. Over eight channels of radio microphones and a host of comms completed the main room setup. In addition, the Welcome Area and the Press Conference audio set up was run from Yamaha LS9s, d&b and EM Acoustic speakers and Sennheiser Radio microphones. The JBOG Project is led and operated by Qatargas on behalf of Qatar Petroleum and RasGas Company Limited (RasGas). It is an environmental project to recover the gas flared during Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) loading at the six LNG berths in Ras Laffan Port. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Press Contact: Laura Vallis Director of Marketing and Communications [email protected] +44 (0)1293 582000 CT PROVIDES AV FOR RAS LAFFAN INAUGURATION PRESS RELEASE ASIA PACIFIC EUROPE MIDDLE EAST NORTH AMERICA
