Pajor, FACHCA will receive the ACHCA Outstanding Member Award this year for her continued leadership, mentoring and major contributions to the Connecticut Chapter and National ACHCA. The award will be presented at Convocation, April 11-15, in San Antonio, TX. Kathy was also recently elected to the Academy of Leadership and Development for a two-year term. Kathy is the President and Executive Director of Beechwood Post-acute and Transitional Care/Long-term Care in New London, CT. Kathy is the Immediate Past President of the CT ACHCA and serves on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities (CAHCF). In 2010 Kathy was chosen as an American Health Care Association (AHCA/NCAL) Future Leader in Long-term Care and in 2014 was profiled in "Provider Magazine's" 20 to Watch in 2014. The Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Health Care Administrators

(CT ACHCA) is pleased to announce that Kathleen A. Pajor, FACHCA will receive the

ACHCA Outstanding Member Award this year for her continued leadership, mentoring

and major contributions to the Connecticut Chapter and National ACHCA. The award

will be presented at Convocation, April 11-15, in San Antonio, TX. Kathy was also

Hour on Wednesday, March 18th at Zandri's Stillwood Inn in Wallingford, CT.

Program begins a 9:30 AM (Registration opens at 9:00 AM).

The morning will begin with Registration and Continental Breakfast. At 9:30 AM

we shall conduct a Chapter Meeting and hold an election for two (2) Directors to the

Board. At 10:30 AM is our 2015 Certified Nursing Assistant Hall of Fame Induction

Ceremony with Wendy H. Furniss, RNC, MS, Branch Chief, Health Care Systems,

State of Connecticut Department of Public Health assisting in presenting the awards. At

12:00 Noon is our Luncheon followed by the Chapter's Collegiality Hour.

Meal choice is Stuffed Roasted Chicken or Roast Beef and a Vegetarian option.

CAHCF - ICD-10: Implementation Planning Workshop

On Thursday, March

24th we'll be kicking off the first of two (2) workshops concerning the implementation of

ICD-10. It's important that you have representation at BOTH workshops. Our presenter

will be Maureen McCarthy, RN, BS, RAC-CT, President of Celtic Consulting.

The first workshop will fun from 9:00 AM (Registration opens at 8:30 AM) until 12:00

Noon and will be held at the Coco Key Water Resort in Waterbury, CT.

Cost is $ 75.00/person for first CAHCF Member (MUST be in good-standing); $
