I. Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) has allocated CSR budget for an amount of R 10.28 Crore for the year 2015-16.

The following CSR activities have been undertaken during the financial year 2015-16 at a total cost of R 11,26,74,818/-.

TOTAL 11,26,74,818 1.0 Mid-day Meal Mid-day Meal provided to 10,000 Nos. of school children studying in 63 Government Schools in the Patancheru Mandal, Medak District, Telangana (TG) State & 5000 Nos. of school children studying in GHMC Schools in Visakhapatnam District, Andrha Pradesh State (A.P) in association with M/s The Akshaya Patra Foundation (TAPF).

2.0 Health Care at Nalgonda Health care facility was provided to 2000 elderly people by supplying medicines through Mobile Medicare Unit in 16 villages in Narayanpur and Chouttuppal Mandals of Nalgonda District, TG State in association with M/s HelpAge India .

3.0 Health Care at Vizag Health care facility was provided to 2000 elderly people by supplying medicines through Mobile Medicare Unit in Narsipatnam Mandal in Visakhapatnam District, Andhra Pradesh State.

4.0 Safe Drinking Water BDL has commissioned three RO Water Treatment Plants in the fluoride affected areas in Narayanpur, Janagaon and Peeplepahad villages of Nayanpur Mandal in Nalgonda District, Telangana State for supplying Safe Drinking Water to the beneficiaries and entered MoU for Annual Maintenance Contract through M/s Naandi Foundation.

5.0 E - SAGU

BDL in association with IIIT (Hyderabad) has provided agro-advisories to the farmers in the selected villages in Medak District, Telangana State - an IT Driven Personalized Agri-facilitator for Better Farming to 12000 farmers (400 farmers x 30 villages) during Kharif and Rabi seasons for major crops.

6.0 Bio-Toilets at Balasore District in Odissa State

BDL in association with M/s FICCI has constructed 2 Cluster of Bio-Toilets at Jaleswar & Chandaneswar in Balasore District, Odissa State.

7.0 Construction of toilets in Govt.Schools

BDL has constructed 193 toilets in Govt.Schools at Medak, Ranga Reddy & Nalgonda Districts in Telangana State and Visakhapatnam District in A.P.State as per MHRD web-site under Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyaan.

8.0 All weather Therapy Machines to ASHA Schools

BDL in association with Adjutant General’s Branch of Indian Army has provided “All weather Therapy Machines” to ASHA Schools run by Indian Army in which Indian Army is providing special education, rehabilitative care and training to specially enabled children and to make them independent and useful members of the society.

9.0 Skill Development Programme at Maharashtra State

BDL in association with Ordnance Factory, Ambajhari has trained two batches of ITIs consisting of 52 Nos. with a stipend of Rs.1300/- per month per student.

10.0 200 KW Grid Tied Solar Power Plant

BDL has commissioned 200 KW Solar PV Power Plant and are in operation at its Kanchanbagh Complex.

11.0 Industrial RO Plant at KBC

BDL has Commissioned Industrial Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant at Kanchanbagh Complex.

12.0 Sustainability activities on Energy Savings As per the recommendation of Committee on Sustainability BDL has installed sensors to implement the Energy Audit recommendations to Save power.

BDL has constituted two Committees viz., one at Boar Level Committee and the second one is below Boar Level Committee to monitor projects under CSR activities:

i. BDL has devised internal mechanism to spread CSR and SD awareness amongst the employees. The initiatives are shared in management meetings, CEO’s communication to employees and other forums where a group of employees are present.

ii. Training programmes on CSR and SD have been organized for the employees. The dealing officers may be nominated for external/CSR & SD training and/or interaction with other PSUs.

iii. In case of new incumbents one session on CSR & SD has been included in induction/orientation programme.

iv. CSR & SD activity is executed in the project mode with measurable targets. v. BDL is implementing the selected projects with the help of external specialized

credible agencies. Internal manpower, whenever required is associated in implementation.

vi. Evaluation of project, while it is ongoing and also when it is complete to be done by independent experts.

vii. Monitoring is done with key indicators, timelines budget and corrective action shall be taken, wherever essential. The monitoring is done by internal officers and implementing agencies.

viii. The implementation and monitoring of CSR activities will be overseen by Below Board level committee, which will appraise the projects progress to Board level committee headed by an Independent Director.

ix. An officer, below the Board level is the nodal officer for CSR/SD activities, he is assisted by team of officials. The nodal officer shall submit report to the CSR & SD Board level Committee headed by an independent director. The independent director, in turn, will submit report to Board once in each quarter. This will form two tier organization on CSR and SD.

CSR Capacity Building

5% of the CSR & SD fund will be spend on capacity building initiatives. Members of the CSR & SD committee/team/department will be trained on various aspects of CSR & SD. Internal and External training programmes have been organized on various aspects with help experts in area of CSR.

Note: - This is an Estimated Project Cost for which approval was taken from the Board. It may be noted that under the provisions of Act the Company has to spend Rs.1027.89 lakhs for CSR activities (i.e.2% of the Avg.Net profits for the last three years) for the year 2015-16, however the Company has spent Rs.1123.53 lakhs ( plus Rs.3.22 lakhs towards impact assessment) and hence

there is no shortfall and non compliance in this regard.
