JFK Commemorative SetWhere Were You in 1963?November 22, 2013 marked one of the darkest days in U.S. history—the 50th Anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. For those who witnessed the event, it is a moment in time that still resonates today.

To commemorate the legacy of this beloved President, the CSN Mint has created this exclusive collectible that includes a proof version of a 1964 JFK Half Dollar coin and four uncut 1964 JFK five-cent stamps that feature his image as well as the eternal flame at his grave site, plus the final paragraph from the speech JFK never delivered that fateful day in Dallas, Texas.

25264 | $39.95

“America today is stronger than ever before. Our adversaries have not abandoned their ambitions, our dangers have not diminished, our vigilance cannot be relaxed. But now we have the military, the scientific, and the economic strength to do whatever must be done for the preservation and promotion of freedom.”

From Kennedy’s last speech—it was never delivered.

American Silver EaglesThe Most Widely Traded and Collected Silver Coins in the World!

*No proof issued in 2009

Mint State and Proof Silver EaglesAmerican Silver Eagles are produced by the United States Mint, and each coin’s content, weight and purity is guaranteed by the United States Government. With the turmoil in precious metals over the last few years, the U.S. Mint has had difficulty keeping up with the unrelenting demand for Silver Eagles from collectors, investors and dealers! As a result, there’s no guarantee how long any of these one troy ounce 99.93% Silver Dollars will be available. If you want one (or more) you’ll need to act quickly!

Silver Eagle Rolls & Date Run SetsSilver Eagles are one of the most popular coins ever struck by the U.S. Mint. They’ve been the collector’s choice ever since the first one was issued in 1986. To celebrate this magnificent coin, we assembled the date-run and roll sets you see listed below.

This special two-coin, 2013 West Point minted American Silver Eagle set includes two firsts for the popular series: the very first “Enhanced Uncirculated” Silver Eagle, and the first “Reverse Proof” Silver Eagle to bear the West Point (W) mintmark. The two-coin set was issued to mark the West Point Mint’s 75th anniversary as a Mint facility.

The “Enhanced Uncirculated” coin is extraordinary and is an interesting cross between a satin finish uncirculated coin and a frosted proof coin (with a few touches of reverse proof to finish it off). Half of the stripes in the flag and the blue field of the flag draped around the Walking Liberty design are struck with a mirror proof finish, while the remaining raised devices are frosted like a proof coin. The entire field of the coin has a satin, uncirculated appearance.

The “Reverse Proof” coin completes the full mintmark ensemble of Silver Eagle mints in Reverse Proof (2006 -P and 2011 -P, 2012 -S, and now 2013 -W). It features mirror-proof raised surface and satin frosted “proof-like” fields similar to its predecessors. Act now! These Limited Edition Anniversary sets will sell out fast!

West Point Anniversary Silver Eagles

20 Different Certified coins from NGC and PCGS!

Celebrate 75 Years of the Hall of FameIn celebration of the 75th anniversary of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the U.S. Mint has released a coin unlike any it’s ever made. Instead of being flat, it is shaped something like a bowl, with a convex surface that calls to mind a ball—a baseball, to be precise. It is the first curved coin issued in the mint’s history. This amazing coin bears the baseball image on the reverse, and the obverse shows a baseball glove, gently curving inward. It’s a clever marriage of form and content.

The convex and concave sides lend the ball and the mitt a measure of three-dimensional realism, and together represent the most basic elements of the game, whether played in the backyard, local ballpark, or major-league stadium.

The coins are stuck in both proof and uncirculated editions, and are available as $5 gold coins, $1 silver coins, and half-dollar clads.

State and Territory Proof Coin Collection

America the Beautiful Proof Coin Collection

U.S. Mint Proof Statehood Quarters were never offered for public circulation. They’re exceedingly rare—in fact, the typical mintage of a Proof Statehood Quarter is less than ONE HALF of 1% of the entire mintage of the Statehood Quarters you might find in your spare change. Proof coins are SO desirable that they are often selfishly hoarded by wealthy collectors.

Statehood Quarter Proofs are produced exclusively at the U.S. Mint’s San Francisco facility and are struck to the

same demanding standards that have been in place since 1965. These coins are limited edition works of art—the highest quality coinage produced by the U.S. Mint.

The Proof coins from 1999 and 2001 are extremely hard to obtain, but with either one of these packages you are assured to get every one of these coins in pristine proof condition!

America the Beautiful Clad Proof Quarters are specially minted to deliver exacting subject detail that floats above a mirrored background—they are some of the highest quality coins produced at the U.S. Mint! Never offered for circulation, and stuck in extremely small quantities, Clad Proofs are limited edition works of art.

It’s easy to obtain a complete collection, regardless of how rare or valuable these coins become! Our low-priced Continuity Program guarantees you’ll get every Clad Proof coin issued in the America the Beautiful series from 2010-2021.

Artwork for each America the Beautiful Quarter® is first digitally mastered in 3D to capture the beauty of America’s natural parks and historic landmarks. The artwork is then passed on to the San Francisco Mint, the exclusive minting facility for proof-quality coins. The mint produces a limited number of these proofs, where each coin is double struck for crisp relief providing a level of detail not found on typical circulating coinage. Roughly 1 in 1000 of these proofs achieves the flawless grade of PR70. Even fewer qualify for the designation of Deep Cameo (DCAM). Each coin in these sets is individually encapsulated and certified PR70 DCAM by ANACS. Available as a Clad Proof Set and Silver Proof Set.

In a word, WOW! The details of each proof coin are so crisp and clear...I didn’t know that this level of finish was even possible. I can actually see my reflection on the surface of the coin...It’s like a little mirror!

Silver Proof Quarter SetsThe ultimate edition of the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program! Never touched by human hands and specially minted to deliver incredible detail with mirror-like backgrounds, each coin is a masterpiece struck in 90% SILVER.

Proofs are collector versions of the highest quality. They are produced exclusively at the United States Mint in San Francisco and feature the distinguishing “S” mintmark.

These sets sell out quickly at the U.S. Mint and are typically minted in quantities of fewer than a million a year. America the Beautiful Quarters® already represent one of the lowest production levels of a U.S. Mint coin series in decades—that makes these silver proofs very rare, and very collectible.

*Special Mint Set

American Mint SetsMade Exclusively for Collectors

Since 1947, the United States Mint has created annual sets of uncirculated coins for collectors known as Mint Sets. These popular sets provide collectors with one example of each coin issued for circulation.

Amidst a few interruptions and several changes in format, this popular offering for collectors continues to the present day.

Some sets are particularly noteworthy since they contain coins not issued for circulation. This includes the 1970 Mint Set, which includes the 1970 -D Kennedy Half, and later sets issued in 1973 and 1981 that include non-circulating dollar coins. The 1996 Mint Set included the 1996 -W Roosevelt Dime struck at the West Point Mint—a coin found only in the sets for the 50th anniversary of the coin series.

From 2005 to present, the United States Mint has used a special satin finish for coins included in the annual Mint Set. Along with particularly low mintage, this adds another unique aspect to the sets.

Peace DollarsThe first and only U.S. coin to display the word “PEACE”, the Peace Dollar was introduced in 1921 as the successor to the popular Morgan Dollar series. The new design was created to commemorate the restoration of peace following the conclusion of World War I—“the war to end all wars”. A rendering of Liberty is on the obverse, while the reverse shows a bald eagle in front of sun rays. These were the last large silver dollars minted for circulation and production ceased after 1935.

a. Peace DollarsThe Peace Dollar was first minted in 1921 to commemorate the end of World War I and the peace that followed. It was the successor to the popular Morgan Dollar. Peace Dollars were last minted in 1935, and at the height of the Great Depression, millions of these coins were melted for their silver content. This is a rare chance to own 10 examples of the only coin to display the word “PEACE”.

b. Morgan DollarsMinted intermittently from 1878 to 1921, the Morgan Silver Dollar is one of the most collected coins in the hobby! It’s big (one and a half inches in diameter), and made of 90% silver. The coin is named after its designer George T. Morgan, and his initial M is found at the end of the neck of the portrait Lady Liberty on the obverse of the coin.

The reverse depicts an eagle flying above the moon (with the Earth in the background), a design adapted from the Apollo 11 mission insignia that was also present on the previously issued Eisenhower Dollar.

a. Barber Half DollarsThese coins were designed by Charles E. Barber, Chief Engraver at the U.S. Mint from 1879-1917 and minted from 1892-1915. Also known as Liberty Head Half Dollars, all Barber Coinage saw very heavy and long term use in daily commerce and consequentially, most surviving examples are heavily worn.

b. Liberty Walking Half DollarsOne of America’s most beautiful and most sought-after coins. Adolph Weinman’s “Liberty Walking” was issued from 1916-1947 and has been out of circulation for 60 years! The design features a full-length figure of Liberty, progressing in full stride toward the dawn of a new day, carrying branches of laurel and oak, symbolical of civil and military glory.

c. Franklin Half DollarsThis coin was the last half dollar minted in .900 pure silver during its entire run from 1948-1963. It’s the first circulating coin to feature a real person other than a U.S. President—Founding Father Benjamin Franklin. The reverse features the Liberty Bell. This Franklin half dollar was short-lived and disappeared to make way for the 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar.

d. Kennedy Half DollarsThe Kennedy half dollar, first minted in 1964, is the only fifty cent coin issued by the United States Mint. Intended as a memorial to the assassinated President John F. Kennedy, it was authorized by Congress just over a month after his death. Despite the fact that these coins are still being struck, their circulation is extremely limited.

e. Standing Liberty QuartersThese coins were struck by the U.S. Mint from 1916 to 1930 in .900 silver. The original design of the coin was the subject of some controversy. The design was modified in 1917 to cover Liberty’s exposed breast, and the reverse received a new arrangement of the stars, with the eagle moved higher. In 1925 the design was altered again when a depression was made in the pedestal on which Liberty stands and that bears the date.

a. Barber DimesBarber or Liberty Head dimes were minted between 1892 and 1916 and are composed of .900 silver. They were designed by Charles E. Barber, Chief Engraver of the Mint, who also designed the twenty, five, and fifty-cent pieces. His initial B is at the end of the neck of the image of Liberty on the obverse. The dime featured a wreath of American agricultural products with the words “ONE DIME” in the center.

b. Mercury DimesAlthough this coin is commonly called the “Mercury” dime, it is in fact the Winged Liberty Head dime and the figure on the obverse is a representation of Liberty. These coins have not been produced in over 60 years, and are harder to find with each passing day! Minted between 1916 and 1945, the wings crowning her cap are intended to symbolize the liberty of thought.

d. Buffalo NickelsAlso known as the “Indian head” nickel, this coin is a copper nickel five cent piece struck by the U.S. Mint from 1913 to 1938. It was designed by sculptor James Earle Fraser. The image on the obverse of the coin is actually a composite of several Native Americans, and the bison on the reverse of the coin is rumored to have been modeled after Black Diamond, a resident of the Central Park Zoo in the early 1900’s.

e. Steel PenniesDuring WWII, the U.S. Government melted many coins for their use in the war effort, and this temporarily changed the way coins were minted. In 1943, the penny was made out of steel rather than copper. Each of these “steelies” feature a profile of President Abraham Lincoln on the obverse, and the legendary “wheat ears” design on the reverse. Coins are in average circulated condition.
