• In this meeting, I will explain the changes in the conduct of NET June 2011 due to one session Exam.
• I request your kind attention through out the proceedings, without disturbing meeting by leaving Auditorium in between.
• I request your patience and co-operation.
• At the end of meeting, Officials of respective Venues will take the roll call to know if any functionary is appointed at more than one Venue.

• NET is conducted twice in a calendar year, in June and December to determine the eligibility for the award of Junior Research Fellowship and for appointment of Lecturers in Science Faculty.
• It is scheduled on June 19, 2011.
• 18,365 + 80* Candidates are registered in Pune Center.

• The Joint CSIR-UGC Test is held at 26 centers at major cities, spread all over India. This year Guntur centre is started at Andhra.
• Candidates may opt for any of the given centers, at the time of filling Application form or even after that.
Centre code for PUNE is changed from “19” to “20”

Scheme of Test
This NET will be of only one MCQ Paper
consisting of three Parts and 200 marks.• Part A : Maximum 20 Questions – Any 15 ques – 30 Marks• Part B : 25 to 35 Questions – 70 Marks• Part C : 100 MarksA negative marking for wrong answers, wherever required, shall
be @25%
NET will be conducted in English & Hindi conducted. The candidates opted for Hindi medium will be supplied Question
booklet printed in bilingual version and those opted for English medium will be supplied Question booklets printed in
English version only.

Scheme of Test - contd
To enable the candidates to go through the question paper, it shall be distributed at 9.45 AM
and the Answer sheet shall be distributed at 10.00 AM.
On completion of Exam at 1.00 PM, the candidates shall be allowed to carry Question paper. No
candidate is allowed to carry the Question paper in case he/she choose to leave the Exam before
1.00 PM.

• 9.45 AM - 1 Stroke – Distribution of Test booklet• 10.00 AM – 2 Stroke – Distribution of Answer sheet• 10.05 AM – Return the spare copies of Test booklets & Answer sheets

Reporting time for Officials at NCL Strong room will be 7.00 AM on June 19, 2011.
Reporting time for Invigilators at respective Venues will be 8.45 AM on June 19, 2011.

General Instructions
1. Please do not allow Calculator, Log Table, Slide Rule, Cell Phone, Digital Diary or blank paper in the Exam hall, no provision will be made at venue to keep it in custody.
2. Keep an alert Vigil through out the test and check use of unfair means during test.
3. Do not allow any candidate arriving after 30 minutes from commencement of the paper

4. Hindi Medium Candidates will be accommodated at last room of particular venue and last seats.
5. Advise the candidates, in case of any misprint or ambiguity /mistake in the test booklet, to continue to write the paper and make representation later on to the examination unit CSIR through the respective Invigilator & Supervisor of the Venue.
6. Do not allow any candidate to take away Question Booklet before test gets over. if he/she takes it away then it will be treated as theft/loss. The respective pair of Invigilators will face serious consequences.

need to be alert during the exam and fully conversant with the requirements to
conduct the examination properly.

• One invigilator from each classroom will be nominated by the supervisor to collect the Attendance sheet, Question Booklets and Answer Sheets at 9.30 AM on June 19, 2011 and keep in their custody.
• Carry it without misplacing any Paper to the class room and count it before distribution to Candidates.
• If number of papers do not tally then immediately report it to Control room.

• Questions progress from top to bottom. There are four boxes containing numbers 1- 4 with each question. Candidates are to mark their correct response in the appropriate box with BLACK LEAD PENCIL.
• Candidates should be advised to avoid guess work as each wrong response will fetch negative marking.

Returning Spare Copies
• Allow the candidates to enter Exam. Hall till 10:30 AM and do not admit any candidate, if reporting after 10:30 AM
• In Form-2, for absent candidates, please encircle the Roll Number with blue ball point pen.
• Do not allow any candidate to leave before 10:45 AM.
• Give the account of “Present and Absent” of candidates and return the spare copies of Answer Sheets & Question Booklets to the Supervisor visiting your classroom.
• Please record this data in a suitable place arranged on the black board.

Paper Collection
• Announce different phases of time for eg: half time, five min. remaining and time over for paper, etc. as per Time Activity Schedule/Bell Timings previously Instructed to you.
• Ask candidates to stop writing at 1.00 PM and collect the Question Booklets and Answer Sheets separately and arrange them in Roll Number order.

• The answer sheets should be arranged in such a way that the side 1 should face the upper side.
• Hand over all the Question Booklets and Answer Sheets as well as Attendance Sheets to the supervisor in control room.
• Most Important to remember – Question Booklets of candidates left hall before 1.00 PM & all Answer Sheets must be returned to Control room, if any paper is missing then immediately FIR must be lodged with nearest Police Station.
