Chandeliers from Bohemia are admired/demanded by monarchs, such as Louis XV – King of France; Maria Theresa – Empress of Austria; and Elizabeth – Empress of Russia.

Seven main crystal glass factories from Czechoslovakia create a strategic partnership, forming the Preciosa group.

Bohemian crystal jewelry and glass from the Jizera mountains is exported worldwide.

Preciosa buys the Vinolok patents and intellectual property and becomes the only manufacturer of the Vinolok glass closure.

Glass makers from Murano brought glass to northern Europe. The first glass furnace is lit up in Vysoké nad Jizerou in Bohemia.

Evolution of crystal manufacturing: cutting and polishing of stones, beads, and chandelier trimmings are added to the crystal repertoire.
