The Cryo/Cuff will be applied to your shoulder, and the canister will be filled with ice water during the surgery. 2. The water in the cuff should be recycled every one to two hours. a. Connect tube to cuff. b. Open air valve on top of canister. c. Lower canister below shoulder level and allow water to drain completely out of cuff. d. Swish water and ice around in canister. e. Refill cuff by raising canister 15 to 18 inches above the shoulder. f. Disconnect tube from cuff while canister is above the shoulder. 3. The ice in the canister will have to be refilled every 6 to 8 hours. 4. If there is too much air in the cuff, bleed the red valve on the cuff by pushing down on the small white pin. Why Use the Cryo/Cuff? Compression keeps swelling down Ice Therapy keeps swelling down and minimizes pain. Cryo/Cuff Parts The Cuff is a pouch-like device which is filled with ice-cold water. The Tube goes from the cuff to the canister and is detachable. It allows you to exchange the water in the Cuff. The Canister holds ice and water.
