Mission Statement and Sponsorship Policy Crowmarsh Youth Football club is a community club that believes in providing football for all children regardless of ability. To achieve this the club provides footballing opportunities for children from the age of 5 to 16. We believe that football should be a fun, enjoyable experience, which develops teamwork, self-confidence and self-esteem.

Sponsorship plays a key role in the income of the club, permitting the club to maintain a high standard and to make football affordable to all.

The Crowmarsh Youth FC Brand Crowmarsh YFC is a local community club catering for players of all abilities from U6 to U16s – we are a Chartered Standard Club, and an advocate of the FA’s Respect Campaign. We were founded in 1963 and have over 350 players in every age group from U6s to U16s in mixed teams. We have seen with the popularity of girls’ football on the increase a massive surge in interest, reflecting in the club now having all girls’ teams at U10s (2 teams), U12, U14 and U16s. We play in Wallingford at the home grounds of the Paddocks, Bullcroft and Crowmarsh Recreation Ground, dependent upon the age groups, and train in Winter at the Bullcroft, Hithercroft and Wallingford School artificial facilities under lights. Whilst our heritage reflects our foundation as Crowmarsh Youth Football Club we are the only team offering youth team facilities in Wallingford and our players come from Wallingford and all the surrounding villages and even further afield including Abingdon and Didcot. The club has continued to grow from strength to strength over the last few years because of our reputation as a community club and as an inclusive club, run by passionate Mums & Dads.

During the main season, which runs from early September to May our teams play in the Oxford Mail Youth Football League (OMYFL) and Oxford Mail Girls Football League (OMGL). Many of our teams also take part in the hugely popular indoor FUTSAL competitions in Winter which are great fun and a fantastic development opportunity for the kids. Throughout the summer months, the calendar is full of local tournaments, which our teams also play in. One of the largest and most successful of the tournaments is our own Annual Tournament, usually held the first weekend in June after the last May Bank holiday. The proceeds from the tournament are the main contribution to the annual profits of the club, which are ploughed straight back into the club and help keep our registration fees at the levels they are, despite increasing costs year on year. The running of the club is financed through registration fees, which pay for expenses relating to pitch hire, training facilities, leagues, referees and equipment. Teams are expected to find sponsors to pay for their own kits. We benefit hugely from sponsorship from a number of organisations based locally in Oxfordshire, some of our sponsors including Rowse Honey, Howbery Park, Haynes Car Centre, E& J Motors, Connect Catering, Thames Salon, James Gesner Estate Agents and many more.

Much our of reputation is through word of mouth, and we have a huge number of siblings progress through the club and many a player who graduates to running a team! As well as this, we have an active online presence through our website that was completely redesigned and re-launched 2 years ago, http://www.crowmarshfc.co.uk .You can find us on Facebook as CrowmarshYouthFC and also on Twitter at @CrowmarshFC. For managers we also highly recommend the use of Teamer, www.teamer.net, a team management app which is free and a great way to keep the team & parents up-to-date. Our aim at all times is to have close relationships with all the local schools, the Town Council, local residents, local businesses, Oxford United FC and the Oxfordshire FA (OFA).

Our official club colours are tangerine shirts, with plain black shorts and tangerine socks.

The Sponsorship Agreement The purpose of sponsorship is to find a mutually beneficial arrangement between the club and the sponsor. Sponsorships are a two-year commitment.

Where sponsorship is offered to the club and not necessarily to an individual team, it is at the discretion of the management committee as to where the sponsorship will be allocated. All kit, equipment and other goods supplied to or purchased by the club as part of the sponsorship agreement will remain the property of the club.

Communications with Sponsors First contact with potential Sponsors is usually through a Team Manager. If the Team Manager is happy to discuss sponsorship on behalf of Crowmarsh Youth Football Club, then this is acceptable. If The Team Manager is not happy in this role then the sponsorship officer and the rest of the finance team will handle it. Any commitment between Crowmarsh Youth Football Club and sponsor must be made in agreement with the Management Committee and the Kit Manager.

The Crowmarsh Youth FC Offer Branding Exposure As described above the name of the sponsor can appear on football kits, training clothing and equipment, providing exposure to all those attending league and cup matches played throughout the Oxfordshire area. There are also opportunities to have company’s logos/names visible at our annual events.

Home Kit Sponsorship All Crowmarsh Youth Football Club teams will play in the official colours and Nike kit design, of tangerine shirts, black shorts and tangerine socks. Sponsors can pay for the provision of this kit and in return have the company logo and/or name on the chest of the shirts. All company names and logos must be approved by the Crowmarsh Youth Football Club Management Committee. Company names and logos will also need to meet the criteria set by English Football Association and the Oxfordshire Football Association.

Training Kit Sponsorship Sponsors can pay for the provision of items of training kit for the squad and in return have the company logo and/or name appear on the garments. All company names and logos must be approved by the Crowmarsh Youth Football Club Management Committee. Equipment Sponsorship Sponsors can pay for the provision of items of training equipment for the squad and in some cases have their company logo and/or name appear on the equipment. All company names and logos will be approved by the Crowmarsh Youth Football Club Management Committee. Website Promotion The Crowmarsh Youth Football Club website is promoted throughout the club as the primary source of information for players and their families. Our website is also used for all the visiting teams to find out information about the club and the location and contacts.

Companies sponsoring the club will be promoted through the website. In addition, the Sponsor’s of specific teams will have their logo (and link) also appear on the team page. Event Promotion During our annual awards ceremony and 6-a-side tournament there will be opportunities for sponsorship exposure. This will be done via banners, posters and our tournament programme to name a few.
