More Super Spud Supper Fun...

We also stretched our

brains writing fun Limer-

icks and then voted on

the winners. Peyton

McCone won top honors

with Beth Luker coming

in second. They’re pic-

tured here with their

prizes.

We’ve also included

everyone’s limericks for

you to “enjoy”!

Peyton’s Limerick: I once went to a Sunday School Party, There we ate potatoes that were good and hearty. We played a game of make up 3 letter words, I found out my skill for it was for the birds. I can’t wait for the next Salad Party! Beth’s Limerick: There was a wonderful man, Whose ears were so large he hid them in sand. But the wife said “No!” You should be in a show. So he went on stage and played in a band.

Bob Kellar: I have a few good reasons for praying, And one of them just entered my head. If I don’t pray while I’m living,

I sure won’t pray when I’m dead!

Kathy Kellar: There was an old codger, Who loved to play ball with the Dodgers. He tried so hard to throw the ball, But every time he did, he would take a fall. But he would get up with a broken jaw!

Charles Luker: There was an old woman in a shoe, She was in such a very big, bad stew! Her kids were all bad, That made her so sad, She just didn’t know what she would do!

Pat McCone: There was an old lady named Pat, Who had millions and millions of cats.

They had many stripes, Who at fruit that was ripe, So Pat was very busy with her cats!

The rest

of the

Limericks

Brenda Morris: A president we call Obama Had two girls and pretty Mama. But we’ll vote very soon, He’ll be over the moon, And we’ll be the “Kats Pajamas!”

Mike Morris: There once was a boy named Roy, Whose sister’s name was Joy. They liked to sing happy songs, As they joyfully skipped along. As they both were the real McCoys!

Roger Blocker: I came to a home in Sheffield Land, That had cinnamon chili not out of a can. It wasn’t as good as the cherry Which with ice cream made me merry. My adventure will now end with a Tums, oh man!

YOUR BUSINESS TAG LINE HERE.

AGAPE MINISTRIES:

We are helping a Senior student at Lake View High School (one of Miriam

Smith’s students) with needs for her baby boy who is due in just a couple of

weeks. She is taking dual credit (college) courses and plans to attend college

after graduation in May. She is currently living with her grandmother and has

no family support. Miriam has counseled with her to stay in school and got

her registered with free birthing/parenting classes at Shannon. However, she

has absolutely no support from the father of the baby or his family and she

and her grandmother barely have enough to take of themselves. We are ask-

ing you to bring new or gently used appropriate baby clothing, accessories,

furniture, perhaps diapers, etc. she can use anything you bring. We would like to send a nice basket in a few

weeks with Miriam to present to this young lady sharing the love of Christ with her.

Lake View Food and Clothing Closets also need new or gently used clothing and nonperishable or canned

food items to help the needy students and their families.

If you are available to help with Rust Street Ministries SORT IT OUT (sorting donated clothing), please con-

tact the church office 224-8222 and let them know, or come Friday or Saturday, March 30-31, from 2-5. We

have light tasks for those who need to work from a seated position. Come Friday 2-3 or Sat 4-5 if you can

help lift.
