What then does a tithe consist of Leviticus 27 30 and 32 30) A tithe of everything from the land whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees belongs to the Lord 32) The entire tithe of the herd and flock - every tenth ani-mal that passes under the shepherds rod - will be holy to the Lord Deuteronomy 1422 Be sure to set aside a tenth of all that your fields produce each year How do we determine the amount of income on which to base the tithe - Is it the gross of your total income - Is it the net of your income - Does it include interest and dividends on investments With these in mind - Provide for your family - Prayerfully decide what you will give - Give of what you have not of what you dont have - Strive to reach the goal of tithing a tenth - Feel good about your giving
