Services

Our Saviour’s Community Services walks with people in community in the heart of Philips, one

of the most diverse neighborhoods in South

Minneapolis.

We provide dignified shelter and housing for

single adults and English language classes to

immigrants and refugees through our two

programs – Our Saviour’s Housing and the

English Learning Center.

AUGUST COMMITTEE

The following committees are on the calendar to meet this month: Race Equity, Property,

Worship, Education, Mission Support

Community Meals Resume in September

There will be no Community Meals during the

summer months. However, committees will

continue to meet in the Fellowship Hall on

alternating 2nd Mondays of each month at 6:30

pm.

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE URBAN ARTS ACADEMY PRESCHOOL:

Dear Urban Arts Family,

On behalf of the Board of Directors and Staff, we want to extend our supreme thanks and appreciation for all of your support

over these past many years. Your emotional and financial help have enabled Urban Arts to touch the lives of so many young chil-

dren with our unique blend of arts-infused education. Supporters like you have stood by us through both good and difficult time.

We are writing today to inform you about some changes that are taking place. Our continued low student enrollment in the pre-

school program has necessitated the very difficult decision to close that program. It will be closed effective August 16, 2019, and

only affects pre-school students.

These past thirteen years have been a wonderful opportunity for us to mentor so many young children and to get to know their

families. This is something we can all celebrate despite the sadness of the pre-school closing.

At the same time, we will be re-directing all of our focus and energy to the After-School program, which has been the core of our

mission since the beginning in 2001. We are inspired to do great things for neighborhood children and families and look forward

to your continued support.
