Garden Gifts key

1 Cut some backing paper, to create a piece that’s as

wide as your card and about two-thirds the height of it. Stick it horizontally over the centre of the card and using double-sided sticky tape. Trim the edge with deckle-edge scissors (by from Fiskars, www.fiskars.com) to match the card blank.

2 Stitch a border of running stitches around your cross

stitched design – use the light green thread as listed in the key, and keep your stitches evenly spaced.

3Trim your aida to size and carefully fray the edges with

tweezers. Add it to your card as a pretty patch with double-sided sticky tape.

4Finish the card with coordinating gingham bows

of your choice, available from good craft shops. Fix them with Glue Dots or more double-sided sticky tape.
