Specialized Cleaning

High and Ultra High Pressure Water Jetting

Water jetting (blasting) is an effective and environmentally sound solution to traditional surface preparation techniques. The ultra-high pressure fresh water system is effective in removing all industrial coatings and contaminants.

Our high (5-25,000 PSI) and ultra-high (up to 40,000 PSI) water jetting units are diesel driven; zone 2 rated and carry the DNV 2.7-1 certifications. All services are carried out by certified and competent operators. We are a member of the Water Jetting Association (WJA).

Typical applications include:

• Internal cleaning of pipes, tanks, drains and exchange tubes• Surface contaminant removal• Removal of heavy coatings• Removal of impurities from production units• Exposing of reinforcement bars in concrete structures• Cold cutting of metals in hazardous environments

Vacuum Cleaning

Our portable, diesel driven zone 2 vacuum units are certified to DNV 2.7-1. The units are versatile and robust – withstanding the rigours of offshore shipping and meeting the demanding requirements of industrial maintenance. These high energy vacuum units can be used in series with approved waste contaminant vessels, totes or cutting boxes – permitting controlled transfer of contaminated material to shore for disposal.

Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) Removal

Scale removal is a growing requirement as the Oil & Gas industry matures and installation shutdowns require vessel entry operations. Our certified Radiation Safety Officers ensure safe site management, vessel entry and containment of affected materials.

We have the management and technical expertise available to offer a full scope of NORM removal services, including:

Composite Pipe Repair

Crosbie Salamis Limited employs a team of trained applicators that are certified in the application of composite sleeves for pipe repair. Typical applications cover all aspects of pipe configurations including complex geometric profiles and weldneck flanges and vessels.

The resins used in the Technowrap TM repair product range permit use in applied temperatures ranging from -75 to 220 degrees centigrade. The Walker Technical Resource’s unique Technowrap TM 3K TM Primer enhances the adhesion strength and therefore pressure retention of the composite repair by approximately three times and permits use in applied pressures up to 3625.95 PSI (250 Bar). We are the exclusive service and distribution agents for Technowrap TM in Central and Eastern Canada.

Although typical repairs are made for individual flaws as well as repairs of partial wall loss rehabilitation, our system also lends itself to multi-linear runs.

All Technowrap TM composite repairs are engineered, come with a lifetime guarantee and are fully compliant to International Standards. The product range comprises a series of design-engineered repair systems developed to suit a wide range of conditions. The system utilizes composite technology that is internationally recognized and accredited for its outstanding performance, including Lloyd’s Register ‘Type Approval’. Repairs come with lifetime guarantees of up to 20 years.

Safehouse Inflatable Habitat

The Safehouse Habitat is a system of fire retardant panels that fit together to provide a pressurized environment that can prevent the need to shut down production to complete required work scopes. CSL has provided this solution to the offshore installations of Hibernia, Terra Nova and the Sea Rose FPSO.

The system is designed to provide a safe module where hot work can be securely executed, while the installation or plant is still in production. The module and supporting panels are designed to allow penetration around various sizes of pipe spools, structural steel or pieces of equipment. Special panels can easily be fabricated in the event that there is a particular application that cannot be accommodated within the standard modules.

The in-line air supply gas sensing module (GSM) is ATEX approved for use in zone 1 and 2. Scaffold frames and permanent structures can be designed to support the habitats during installation in all weather conditions. The habitats are sealed and are self-supporting once fully pressurized.
