Rep last row until work, when slightly stretched, measures from bottom to beg of neck shaping along left front edge and sew in position as you work. Mark position of 2 buttons 8 (10-12)" [20.5 (25.5-30.5) cm] and 14 (16-18)" [35.5 (40.5-45.5) cm] up from bottom of edging. Cont as before around neck edge and down right front edge to bottom, working buttonholes to correspond to button markers as follows:1st row: (RS). Ch 2. Working in horizontal bar created below next st in previous row which

creates ridge, 1 hdc in each of next 7 (8-9) sts. Ch 2. Skip next 2 sts. 1 hdc in each st to end of row. Turn.2nd row: Ch 2. Working in horizontal bar created below next st in previous row which createsridge, 1 hdc in each st to next ch-2 sp. 2 hdc in next ch-2 sp. 1 hdc in each st to end of row. Turn.

Try on Wrap and sew 2 smaller buttons through all thicknesses to secure sides. Sew 2 larger buttons to correspond to buttonholes. Fold back shawl collar (see photo).
