INSTITUTION DESCRIPTION

• Cumbres is a bilingual and private school. It is located in the town of Envigado (Cra. 27 B No. 27 Dsur - 86 Int. 102). In the early 90's the religious congregation “Los

Legionarios De Cristo”, founded in 1941 in Mexico, came to Medellin with the purpose of founding an educational institution. Therefore, in 1994 the congregation founded

the school “CorporaciónColegioCumbres”.

POPULATION ADDRESSED

• The blog is addressed for third

grade students, ages between eight and

nine years old. There are twenty students in the classroom.

ENVIRONMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

• Students are advanced learners. Schoolchildren take sixteen English lessons per

week. The blog is a pedagogic strategy to use the target

language for a communicative propose.

TOPICS TO BE ADDRESSED

• Students are able to use the target language in a

communicative way, describing a volcano

eruption.
