There are many types of plants that where alive back then, some of them were ferns, cycads, and conifers.

Ferns•Fern became the flowering plants but they flourished in the hot and wet environment•It served as a food supply to many animals

plants typically characterized by a stout and woody(ligneous) trunk with a crown of large, hard and stiff, evergreen leaves.

Conifers•Conifers were very abundant in the Cretaceous Period •They have survived through the whole time •Some conifers include Christmas Trees, Red Woods, and Great Sequoia.

What are the types of animals that lived back then?

There are many animals that lived back then but three that we think are awesome are Triceratops, king of the plants, Megaladon, king of the seas, and Spinosaurus, king of the Land.
