In this course, you will learn how to utilizethe variety of functionality enhancements inCreo Parametric 3.0. You will be introducedto user interface appearance enhancementssuch as the active window and right-clickmenu enhancements. You will examine thePart Modeling enhancements to features suchas Draft, Pattern, UDF, Rounds, and SpinalBend. You will experiment with the new EditReferences dialog box on part models andstudy the surfacing enhancements to surfacecopy, flatten quilt, boundary blends, andthe new connection analysis tool. Freestylesurfacing enhancements to the Join tool andaligning to geometry will also be covered.You will also learn about Flexible Modelingenhancements to tangency propagation,flexible patterns, round/chamfer recognition,and the flexible move tool. You will investigatethe new Assembly capabilities such as thebuilt-in hardware library and the IntelligentFastener extension, as well as enhancedAssembly functionality such as heterogeneous(multi-CAD) assembly and the DesignExploration extension. You will examine thenew Dimension and Note functionality for2-D drawings and review various detailingenhancements. Finally, you will learn to usethe many updated tools in Sheetmetal modesuch as Die Forms, Bend Relief, and Rip,as well as the enhancement for bending inmultiple planes.At the end of each module, you will completea set of review questions to reinforce criticaltopics from that module. At the end of thecourse, you will complete a course assessmentin Pro/FICIENCY intended to evaluate yourunderstanding of the course as a whole.

In this course, you will learn about CreoIllustrate and its role as a purpose-built,role-based solution for creating 3-D technicalillustrations. You will learn how to dynamicallycreate technical illustrations from existing3-D CAD data. You will also learn how tomap existing eBOM data to populate anillustration-specific sBOM. In addition, youwill learn how to manipulate imported 3-Dviewables to create service informationcontent including service procedures, partsidentification, training materials, and productassembly and disassembly. Finally, you willlearn how to create markup and annotations infigures and animations.At the end of each module, you will completea set of review questions to reinforce criticaltopics from that module. At the end of thecourse, you will complete a course assessmentin Pro/FICIENCY intended to evaluate yourunderstanding of the course as a whole.

Course Objectives• Demonstrate fundamental Creo Illustrate

illustration and figure creation steps to producean illustration-specific sBOM from imported 3-DCAD data

• List and describe methods and tools used tocreate exploded views, create section cuts, andremove graphic objects from an illustration

• Modify illustrations by adding rendering styles,color, and work with the Creo Illustrate 3-Dsymbols library

• Create and manage a parts list from the CreoIllustrate sBOM
