Construction Careers Information Center (CCIC)

The mission of the CCIC is to increase community knowledge and understanding of construction industry careers and to assist individuals in building the framework to become employed in the construction industry. ________________________________________________________________

CCIC Involvement • Los Angeles Urban League and South Bay One Stop have been utilizing CCIC to heighten

the awareness and ready individuals for the construction industry. CCIC Orientations: Mondays and Wednesdays 9:30am at the LAUL WorkSource Center • Services include but are not limited to the following:

o Universal Access Services (Labor Market Information, Career Counseling, Professional Development Workshops, etc.)

o Case Management Services o Occupational Evaluation of Skills o Apprenticeship and Career Planning

• Coupon Book WSCC launched the coupon book to help promote participating businesses along the alignment by providing an incentive to the people working on the project who will be inclined to patronize the participating businesses.

Out of the 15, 5 dropped out before the Boot Camp was started ( Either gained employment, or no longer interested)

Out of the 10 that went to the Boot Camp, 5 graduated.

WSCC is happy to announce the indentureship of 3 of the 5 graduates and are currently working on the project. Walsh paid full initiation fees for 1, and half for another.
