!The space is roughly 37’(w) x 30’ (h) x 34’ (d). The footprint of

our back-of-house area and front-of-house service area

combine is approx. 400sf. The benefit of this concept is that

it leaves the shell in a raw & natural state with minimal site

construction.

Much of the design will be an ‘installation’ - a design that

conceptually could be translated into both indoor-/outdoor

environments or missions in other remote locations. Primarily

though - the structure will be designed to minimize fit-out

costs as much of the construction can be pre-manufactured

‘off-site’ - thereby making on-site execution of the design

faster and more efficient.

!Two options are being explored - 1 with a Mezzanine and 1

without. The Mezzanine provides additional space to max 1/3

overall area (approx. 400sf or 200’x200’) so that a lift is not

required. This plan positions the back-of-house to the rear

and conceals the staircase behind - a 20’ run should allow

space for landing and get up to a height of approx. 10'.

Additional storage can be used under the stairs depending on

whether we select open or closed risers…preference is for

open metal framed stairs with wood or black rubber treads.

The plan option allows for adjacent delivery entrance at rear

close to back-of-house entry door below stairs.

!The option without a mezzanine is similar but can be pushed-

back allowing additional space top the front area…it is more

‘open’ and sits symmetrically within the space - facing the

primary entrance.

!Both concepts position the Barista on ‘centre stage’ at the

heart of the space .

!Given we anticipate heavy foot traffic on L1 it will struggle to

accommodate the eclectic seating and ‘dwell spaces of the

original Credo site. Therefor the benefit of the Mezzanine will

be to provide a ‘third space’ or ‘tree-house’ for slower paced

relaxation, for events or groups.

!The framework above will incorporate a track lighting system

which can illuminate featured artwork exhibited on the

Mezzanine itself or on the surrounding walls. The track will

also be detailed to support suspended lightweight artwork

around the perimeter on the mezzanine.

Secondary Entry

The rear corridor entry from within the building is proposed

as double glass doors. We would prefer these to be set

further back into the corridor so we can make full use of the

wall space within that corridor which is highly visible on a key

sightline from the street. We felt a 3rd entry (discussed at

our last meeting) would be excessive and further reduce the

seating areas.

!Signage

Full height inter-tenancy dividing wall towards the front:

features a large custom map of Orlando - portrait ; artwork/

graphic panels plus large-scale environmental graphics. full

height columns.

!Seating

Mirror panels above the upholstered banquette on one wall

(+artwork/graphic panels). Dry-bar seating along most of

perimeter windows. Loose 2 person tables and a mix of

chairs/stools at low/high level. Several lounge-style seats and

coffee tables on the Mezz level. Exterior fixed tables and

loose chairs/smaller tables plus planters/umbrellas as

allowed.

Lighting

High-bay pendants (black with yellow interior) suspended

from slab above along secondary entrance corridor. Industrial

sconce lights on main wall illuminating brand signage at high

level. tech lighting within ‘cube’ framework. Spot lighting to

menu signage. Flood lights from ‘cube’ illuminating adjacent

walls. Floor standard lights in several locations around

perimeter.

!Finishes

Black paint: with exposed services above.

White paint: underside of mezzanine ceiling (matt), back of

house walls (gloss) and as indicated, inter-tenancy wall

Yellow paint: steel frame of cube.

Existing sealed concrete: floor sealed throughout, large rear

wall/stair riser.

Black tiling: front service area floor and back of house area

floor with set-downs and drainage as required, rear wall

subway tiles (matt) below mezzanine,

Solid wood: to bench-top & legs of ordering station,

balustrade hand-rail, and dry-bar table tops, mezzanine floor
