+Access• Credo Reference is only available through

subscription and its content can only be accessed by users of an authorized library.

• Credo Reference offers packages tailored for a variety of institutions, such as K-12, public, or academic libraries.

Once a user is on Credo Reference, users can perform searches in various ways:

a feature created for interactive browsing

through related concepts

Searching with tools for definitions, biographies, images, pronunciations, etc.

+Search Results

• Users can limit results of a basic search through the options on the left-hand panel.

• Topic Pages, usually the first search result depending on its relevance, contain a substantive overview of a topic or concept and lead the user to further relevant information.

• Further full-text articles are located below and are organized by relevance.

+Topic PagesTopic Pages are convenient starting points. They include: 1. Basic definitions,

2. Summary articles from authoritative encyclopedias,

3. Link to Mind Map tool,

4. Related Topics including summaries of interrelated concepts, countries, or biographies,

5. Citations in various formats.

6. Images & videos from online commons, such as Wikimedia, & YouTube,

7. Topical suggestions on Google Books (outside screenshot scope),

+Mind Maps

The Mind Map tool offers a new way to interactively browse through related topics.

A keyword search in the Mind Map tool will display a web of related terms.

+Mind Maps Selecting related terms will automate related article results

on the right-hand column from all of Credo’s reference collection.

By selecting between articles based on their source, users can select the correct article for the context of their research.

+Combined Browsing

• In Credo’s goal to create seamless research tools, its interface links users to further resources outside itself.

• It provides a toolbar for the home library’s basic research tools, such as its website, catalog, or librarian assistance site.

• It also links to related databases, available through the user’s home library. These links will perform the search for the user & will link only to the search results in the selected database.

• In this manner, users can move on to more in-depth research without the hassle of performing identical searches or logging onto other interfaces.
