Anyone else see …those bright orange lights in the sky Monday night? A friend told me he was on his usual evening stroll ‘round town just after 9:30 on Monday evening and observed several bright orange lights coming from the di- rection of Spences Bridge. He said he thought they might be helicopters, they were quite a bit lower than the interior-to- the-coast plane & a long-haul jet that both flew over the valley around the same time, but the orange lights made no sound… He counted 7 of them. He says they came one after the other, silently over the valley over about 10 minutes, then took a sharp right turn to the south, around Iron Mountain, and went out of sight. About 11pm Monday evening, I looked out my south-east facing window & saw a steady bright orange light in the sky, in the usual path of the moon & plan- ets that pass across the sky. It was defi- nitely not Mars. It was much too small to be the moon, and much too big to be a star or planet. Weird. So — anyone else see those bright or- ange lights in the sky Monday night?
