Creativity Month is a celebration of creativity and the Creative Industries in the north of Ireland every March.An initiative of the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure, Creativity Month is held to stimulate new thinking and help creative people, creative ideas and creative businesses emerge and fl ourish.

Creativity Month 2015 will showcase the work of a diverse range of organisations, across government, business, education and the community and voluntary sectors, who are developing creative and innovative solutions to societal challenges.

The Libraries NI events programme offers something for everyone, providing an opportunity to participate in many cultural experiences. Events include practical workshops on radio broadcasting, song-writing, script-writing, storytelling and poetry; demonstrations of film and theatre make-up and traditional crafts; as well as author readings, drama and musical performances.

A major project with internationally renowned artist David Best and London-based Artichoke. At over 60ft tall, the structure will dominate the skyline on the Waterside area of the city during its week-long public exhibition before being ceremoniously burned.

Learn more about Raspberry Pi and coding with Farset Labs. The sessions are aimed at complete beginners with more complicated challenges for those who already have some Raspberry Pi experience.

CITIZEN SCIENCE BRAIN TRUST

Interested in science and technology? Get involved in two brainstorming events to design some exciting, big, bold and scary “Citizen Science” projects which will take place at this year’s CultureTECH Festival in September.

THE CULTURETECH LECTURE

CultureTECH, with support from Ilex, will bring a major technology speaker from London’s ‘Tech City’ to the North West Regional Science Park for one night only.
