The service aims to:

“Provide dementia specific, person centred care to meet

the needs of the person with dementia in a warm,

welcoming and safe environment while providing

support and stimulation”

“Provide a friendly environment outside the home

where people with dementia feel comfortable. At the

same time it gives their primary carer a well-deserved

break from caring and in turn assists in helping them to

continue caring at home.”

*Very happy and optimistic.

*Gained a sense of achievement in observing the clients

reactions and enjoyment.

*I personally feel my facilitation went extremely well. I met

all of my objectives and enjoyed the experience at the

same time.

*I feel this is an area I would work with in the future but

would definitely promote art facilitation in any elderly care

setting in future based on this experience.
