Creation Process
• Firstly, I drew out how I wanted my front cover, double page spread and contents page to look.
• Then I created very basic first drafts that included no colours, pictures or text.
• Once I completed my photoshoots, I had to decide which photos I wanted to use and which ones I didn’t.
• Then, using the basic first designs I already had, I had to choose whereabouts on the page I wanted them to go and how I wanted them to look.
• Following this, I edited each image in photoshop. It took a couple attempts at each image to get them exactly how I wanted them to look.
• The editing process included having to completely delete backgrounds using the magic wand and rubber tools, and getting rid of the hair bobble my model had on her wrist using the cloning tool.
Edited photos- before and after.
• After editing all of the photos I wanted to use of my main model, I had to finish the actual pages so that they would work with the images.
• This meant putting in the titles, text and working out colour schemes.
• This was still only a draft.
• Following this, I just adapted and changed the front cover, double page spread and contents page until they looked how I wanted them to look.
• For this, I researched more into teen pop music magazines and took inspiration from magazine that already existed.
• I also had to add in the details including page numbers, dates and the barcode and price.
• After doing all of this, I had my final pieces.
