Motivation for the Masters: Creating Your Motivational Video in

Movie Maker (MAC users use iMovie)

1. Locate Movie Maker

a. Type in “Movie Maker” in your computer’s search bar

2. Click on it and the Movie Maker interface opens which looks like this:

3. Grab files from the Internet

a. Grab videos using this tool:

i. http://www.keepvid.com

ii. Paste in the URL of the video from YouTube that you’d want downloaded

iii. Click on “Download”

iv. Click on “Download MP4” after #2 from the example below appeared

b. Grab audio using this tool:

i. http://www.vidtomp3.com

ii. Simply paste in the URL from the video you wanted from YouTube

iii. Follow the simple steps that appear afterwards

c. Grab photos / images like this:

i. Type in your search keyword in your browser for the image you’d want

downloaded for example use: “great oil paintings” or “paintings of Rembrandt”

as your search keyword then click on “Images” just below your search bar

ii. Click on an image you’d want and wait for it to load

iii. Once finished loading “right click” on the image and click on “Save Image As”

4. Go back to your “Movie Maker” program and click on “Add videos & photos”

a. You can add videos and photos using this command

b. Tip: you can choose multiple files by simply holding the “Control” key

c. Click on “Open” when you have selected the files you wanted to add

5. Add audio to your movie by clicking “Add Music” then again click on “Add Music”

6. A green bar just below your images / video would represent the audio file that you just inserted

a. Press the “Spacebar” key from your keyboard to start playing the movie with music

7. Once finished click on the upper left corner of the screen

a. Click on “Save Movie” then pick “For Computer”

b. Pick the folder in which you’d want it saved to

Note:

There are a bunch of other options available to you in this program which you could utilize to make your

movie appealing to you or your viewers. You could find these out on “Animations” and “Visual Effects”

Important:

Always make sure that you have permission to use the images / videos / audios that you grabbed from

the Internet and if you don’t have permission in using the files that you acquired from the Internet use

your video for your own personal use only
