TOYO Corporation has been contributing to Japanese industries through the provision of the world’s most advanced "Measurement Technologies" as its core competence. In order to play a role in enabling Japan as a technology-driven nation to demonstrate its technological prowess to the world, we have been consistently introducing the latest measurement instruments and technologies from around the world in such areas as information communication, material analysis/imaging, EMC/large antennas, mechanical dynamics measurement (noise and vibration), marine measurement, sof tware development assistance, and medical imaging. In conjunction with such endeavors, we have also been providing products developed by ourselves using the know-how accumulated over many years. The invention of blue light-emitting diodes (LEDs), which was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in October 2014, was greatly assisted by our AC Hall measurement technology. Furthermore, TOYO also invests considerable effort to foster professional development and experience enrichment of our people, who in turn provide "Measurement Technologies" to our customers through custom consultations and seminars to assist in our customers’ technological advancement.

The key message for 2015 is "Empowerment and Responsibility". "Empowerment", as the word suggests, refers to encouraging our free-thinking motivated employees to pursue their technological endeavors with passion. At the same time, these employees are asked to do their utmost to responsibly accomplish the tasks entrusted to them. This is what "Responsibility" signifies, to say nothing of the ultimate responsibility of the top management.

Your business is filled with new possibilities. We are committed to continuing to serve your needs so that we can live up to - or even exceed - your expectations.

Contributing to the Development of Transportation Equipment IndustriesFor the research and development in the transportation industries (automobile, railway, marine, and aerospace), combined measurement/analysis that can look into the following three key factors at the same time are indispensable: noise and vibration, performance (e.g. controllability and ride comfort), and safety and durability.

With automobiles and railways, measurement of noise and vibration is required not only to simply reduce them but also to help design better performance, such as the coordination between comfortable ride and pleasant sound. Furthermore, the measurement of performance and durability requires the automation of data acquisition and analysis that effectively utilize electronic control data. To address all these needs, we provide the latest solutions with high added values.

In recent years, test methods and test data management/sharing have become important in reinforcing the correlation between CAD/CAE-aided hypothetical vehicle design and real data-based vehicle development in model-based development. We also are working on proposing new solutions that will achieve these goals.

Mechanical Dynamics and Control

The transportation equipment industry, which is centered on automobiles, is a representative broad-based industry of Japan. Over the past 50 years, we have contributed to this field mainly through noise and vibration measurement and analysis.

With transportation equipment becoming more complex due to the computerization of its control system, the key factors for Japanese companies to be successful in global competition are to increase the speed and to reduce the cost in product development by conducting the measurement and analysis more precisely and efficiently than ever before.

In addition to noise and vibration measurement/analysis, which we have a leading-edge in, we will actively introduce a wide array of outstanding solutions such as mechatronic control measurement/analysis, measurement data management, and measurement for automatic driving technology, so that we can continue to contribute to the development of the transportation equipment industry.

Corporate Data

Technology Interface CenterAt our Technology Interface Center, we have permanent seminar rooms, the two largest ones among

which measure approximately 200m² (2,100ft ²) each, where we hold various information and

knowledge sharing seminars. Besides, a showroom has been installed in an effort to meet our

customer needs, where demonstrations of the latest measurement instruments and sample

measurements are conducted. Additionally, we host product training courses where we provide

practical classes using actual instruments.

Rather than simply selling products, we also provide educational support to our customers so they can utilize our products to their fullest potential. Furthermore, we hold seminars on the latest technologies, use case examples, and new products in line with the industry trends, all to help our customers gather useful information.

Educational Support

SeminarsAs part of our effort to fulfill our mission as a technically-oriented trading firm, we keep a close eye on the

latest technology trends, and actively engage in providing information to our customers by holding

seminars to introduce the latest technologies and discuss use case examples by inviting eminent

Japanese professionals and engineers of overseas manufacturers. We select the venues by considering

the convenience of customers - the seminars have so far been held in such places as Tokyo (at our

Technology Interface Center), Hokkaido, Osaka, Nagoya, and Kyushu, among others.

TrainingWe hold training courses as needed in order for our customers to acquire such knowledge as the basic

operation and application methods of the products we provide. This is to help our customers master

the usage of measurement instruments which are becoming more multi-functional and complex,

thereby reducing the time they spend on research and development. Not only do we provide

knowledge and skills to our customers, we also hope to grow with them as their strategic partner.

ConsultingUtilizing the optimum tools for the issues our customers are facing, we propose solutions that best

match their needs. In this way, we offer high quality services by fully utilizing the measurement

knowledge we have accumulated over the course of many decades. For example, we can identify

network problems and provide support from diagnosis to resolution.

Analysis CenterImaging technologies play a large role in accelerating the research, development, and quality

improvements for industries. We have established Analysis Center that has assembled the latest and

the highest-quality imaging tools from across the world, including scanning electron microscopes

(SEMs), 3-dimentional CT scanners, and scanning probe microscopes. We also hold workshops and

seminars using actual instruments at our Analysis Center.

HALT Technical CenterWith the certification by Qualmark, a leading American company in HALT/HASS/HASA testing, we have

established HALT Technical Center, where we operate a HALT system to help our customers gain a

correct understanding in HALT/HASS/HASA technologies, which are indispensable to shorten the time

for product development and field failure recreation. Testing services and technical training sessions

are also offered at the Center.

Implementing Natural Energy

We opened Technology Interface Center in April 2004 as a facility dedicated to seminars and training for our customers. As an environmentally conscious facility, the Center is equipped with a rooftop garden, solar panels, and wind-power generation facilities. Additionally, double-glass walls are adopted on the southern and western sides of the building to reduce the burden of heating and cooling energy consumption. The electricity generated by solar power is supplied to the power and illumination systems of the building, and the electricity generated through the wind generation apparatus is supplied to the illumination systems.

We will continue to strive to further reduce the environmental burden upon the Earth resulting from corporate activities by accelerating the implementation of natural energy. Through such measures, we will engage in activities that aim to protect the environment.
