creating my contents page

Creating my Contents Page
Step One • To start with, I had to choose what images I wanted to use on my contents
page. I decided to have one image of my main model and three images of other people.
• Then I had to edit out of the background. To do this, I used to rubber tool and crop tool in fireworks.
Step Two
• Now I had to open a fireworks document and draw the basic outline of what my magazine would look like. I had to leave room for the images, the title and the contents
list.
Step Three
• Next, I had to put in the title, contents list and editors note.
• For the title, I used ‘dafont’ to find a font that I thought suited the magazine.
• I split the contents list into two sections- ‘in this issue’ and ‘in every issue’.
• When making up the editors note, I took into consideration the audience, the genre and the issue date.
Step Four
• The next step was to add in the images.
• I wanted the picture of my main model to be the largest image, and I wanted it to be quite dominant on the page.
Step Five• According to my original
plan, this would have been my finished contents page, but I wanted to add something else.
• I decided to add the name of my featured artist (Olivia Weston).
• I used ‘dafont’ to find a suitable font. I wanted it to be quite fun and girly since the genre of my magazine is teen pop.
