Creating Collection Plans from Templates

Trigger:

Concept

You can create collection plans by copying from another plan in two ways:

Copying a collection plan, including child plans, and creating a new plan using the Copy

Collection Plans page.

Copying the components from one plan to a new plan using the Collection Plans page.

To determine which method to use, decide whether you want to copy associated child plans alongwith the parent plan you have chosen to copy.

You can create a collection plan by only copying the components from an existing plan to a new

plan. The collection plan from which you copy the components from acts as a template for the

new collection plan. You can use collection plans created in one organization as templates tocreate new collection plans in another organization as well as in the current organization.

In this topic, you will create collection plans from a template.

template. This enables you to copy the components of that template.
