Designs are available for all users who can view reports.



No custom security

A user has the right to change any design


A user has the right to create a design


A user has the right to delete any design


A user’s filter selections are saved just like with reports



Categories

Account and meter lists provide non-bill information



Meter Summary provides bill data for the meter

Bill Summary provides bill data without consumption


Bill Summary provides bill data, not consumption, and includes headers


Line item provides bill data by caption or observation type


GHG provides bill data with emissions


Budgets provides bill data with budgets


Channel provides meter data collected by smart or other methods

Don’t choose a Group for an Output unless you give a value for the Filter other than ‘All’

Don’t leave BillID out as an output column because you risk suppressing bill data

Limitations


Results are limited to 50,000 records


Not distributable through Report Distribution Manager

Only available in the installed client EnergyCAP Enterprise


Unless you know SQL, data is limited to pre-defined categories


Includes detail data, not summary data for a Place, Department, etc.



Troubleshooting

No data? Set filters to ‘All’ or modify design filters or outputs


Too much data? Change filters set to ‘All’ or modify design to add filters



Custom Query Categories


For knowledgeable SQL and XML clients


Make available any data in the entire EnergyCAP database

EnergyCAP Online Bill Lists

For bill-based data needs—does not typically contain meter or line item data


In some ways Bill Lists are more functional than Custom Spreadsheets
