Step #1 – Download & Install
Download and Install setup for Oracle Virtual Box

Step #2 – Download ISO for Guest OS
Download ISO for Guest OS.
We’ve chosen Ubuntu and you can download its ISO using link:http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop

Step #3 – Create New VM
Start Oracle Virtual Box
Click on New machine icon
Specify the Name, Type and Version of the VM

Step #4 – Specify VM Memory Size
Specify the RAM for the virtual machine

Step #5 – Choose Virtual Hard Drive
Choose a Virtual Hard Drive for the New VM.
If you have a Virtual Hard Drive with an OS already installed, attach the existing drive to the VM
Or create a new virtual hard drive

Step #6 – Specify Hard Drive Settings
Choose file type Choose Storage Option Specify location and file size

Step #7 – Configure Host Only Adapter
In Oracle Virtual Box menu, Go to File > Preferences
Open Network menu and Host-only Networks tab.
Edit the adapter settings and if not present, add a host only adapter.

Step #7 – Configure Host Only Adapter Ensure that the DHCP server
for Host Only Adapter is enabled.
This is allow the Host machine to act as a DHCP server for VM’s.

Step #8 – Attach ISO to VM
If you had chosen a new Hard Disk drive, then attach the downloaded ISO file to the VM.
Select the VM and click Settings
Open Storage menu and attach the ISO file.

Step #9 – Configure VM Network
You can attach 4 network adapters to a VM. Choose the first adapter as a Host-Only Adapter.
Select the VM and click Settings
Open Network menu and in Adapter 1 tab select Host-Only Adapter.

Step #9 – Configure VM Network To enable Internet on your
VM, attach Adapter 2 either as Bridged or NAT.
Bridged Network – If the host machine is connected via a Wi-Fi router or LAN cable and you need your VM in the same network, use Bridged Network.
NAT – To reuse the Host machine network, choose adapter as NAT.

Select the VM and click on Start icon
