Technical Support Procedures Create an NDVI Image Objective: To create an image showing vegetative productivity.
1. From the ERDAS IMAGINE main icon panel, select Interpreter | Spectral Enhancement | Indices.
2. In the Indices dialog, specify the input file to be lanier.img from the examples directory. Specify an output file name, and select the Stretch to Unsigned 8-bit option. The Select Function: should be NDVI. Select OK.

3. When the process is complete, close the progress meter by selecting OK.
4. Open the results of the NDVI function in a Viewer and lanier.img in another Viewer.
