SE38 is the Transaction code forABAP Editor.1.

Type SE38in the Transaction bar-

The ABAP Editor screen opens up as follows :1.

Enter the Program name in the box and Select the Source Code in the sub-objects and1.

Press CREATEbutton.

NOTE :It is Mandatory to start Program namewithZor Yas Ato Xis Reserved for SAP.

Note : In Real time, the Custom Development Names Can also starts with other than Y and Z i.e. / < Any 8

Alphanumerics > /

Provide the Title and Type of the Program as Executable Program, which can be tested Independently.1.

SAVE(Save) or ENTER.

Click On Local Objects(The Development Class is & TMP)

Finally the ABAP Editor for the current opens up as follows.

A simple ABAP program is as follows.

Steps to execute the program.

a) Save the program : /Ctrl+S.

b) Check the program for syntax errors by pressing or Ctrl+F2

c) Activate it.or Ctrl+F3 to store the Program Details Permanently in Database.

Press ENTERor-

Now press the TEST button-or press (F8) for output screen.

3.) The OUTPUT SCREEN is as follows.
