Macaroni & Cheese Directions:Preheat the oven to 180 Centigrade. Melt 6 tablespoons of butter in anon-stick saucepan on low heat. Add the flour and cook while stirring
for about 3 minutes. When the butter and flour mixture is a pale yellowadd the hot milk, a little at a time, until incorporated and you have athick sauce. Add the cheddar cheese and heat until melted. Turn theheat off. Mix the cooked pasta with the cheese sauce and season withsalt and black pepper. Grease an oven dish with a little oil. Sprinkle halfthe Parmesan on the bottom of the dish and top with macaroni. Melt 2tablespoons of butter. Add the breadcrumbs and dried mixed herbs andstir to coat. Sprinkle the buttery herby breadcrumbs on top of themacaroni & cheese. Bake for 20 minutes, take the dish out of the ovenand sprinkle remaining Parmesan on top. Put back in the oven foranother ten minutes or until the Parmesan topping is golden.
