• Number of Members:6
• District 8
• Event Name: “Flower Power”
• Type of Event: Online flower blub and seed sale

Overview- Zonta Club of Portland
• This has definitely been a learning experience.
It has taught us there are always non-traditional methods that can get results for even a small club like ours.
• This also helps keep our name in front of our “Friends of Zonta” email list to build recognition in our community. With recognition comes new members.
4
Planning- Zonta Club of Portland
• Started campaign 4-6 weeks before the campaign end date
• Used a professional fundraising vehicle known as FlowerPower Fundraising.
• Target Audience: Anyone with an email that might consider planting flower bulbs
5
Promotion- Zonta Club of Portland
• Via direct email, via our club’s Facebook and Twitter accounts, and using printed flyers we hand out in the community.
6
Successes/Challenges- Zonta Club of Portland
• We have a tiny club (just 6 members—3 of whom live elsewhere for part of the year).
• This lets us raise money with a professional-looking package that requires a minimum investment of time
• NO upfront investment of club money, and members can participate from where ever they may be
• A fundraiser run entirely online was embraced enthusiastically by some, but others found it rather baffling!
• Same issue with potential customers. Either they love it or don’t understand it at all. And even though this is an incredibly easy way to raise money, it can still be hard to get club members to participate.
Organizing Committee- Zonta Club of
Portland
• All 6 members participated in organizing the FlowerPower Fundraiser
• Organizer’s Name: Anita E. Marks, Club President

Overview- Zonta Club of Saffle Amal
• “Skordefesten” ( Harvest weekend) at
Bodaholm´s farm, Varmlandsnas where roughly 60 copies were sold, after that each Zonta member has sold five books each through their own networks.
13
Planning- Zonta Club of Saffle Amal
• A group consisting of five persons set up the project roughly eight months before its release. This included; the collection of recipes from our members, photo session, text editing and time for layout of our cookbook.
14
Promotion- Zonta Club of Saffle Amal
• Press release in two local newspapers
( ST,PD) and information in the
“Skordefesten” leaflets.
15
Financial Overview- Zonta Club of Saffle Amal
• 300 books were printed and the cost of this
was covered when half of the copies were sold. The rest of the money went to ZIF-projects, which was the main idea.
• The total cost of printing the book was
US$ 2900
• The total funds raised was US$ 3570.
16
Successes/Challenges- Zonta Club of Saffle Amal
• The idea was simply: “Simple and tasty” from the members of the Zonta Club. The given task was to “mail in a recipe that has the following ingredients” :
• Food using few ingredients and what you normally have at home in your fridge. Be very specific with measurements, hand in recipes that you usually get appraise for, and know that the money is for a good cause.
• Eat well- do good!
• This project demands more time than you would have thought, you need to plan ahead and have a release date set in advance.
Organizing Committee- Zonta Club of Saffle
Amal
• The cookbook committee especially engaged
for this occasion.

Club of Frankfurt am Main Overview Zonta
It was the first time of probably a recurring event (currently planned to be repeated in 2017)
There was high attendance and a lot of support from club members, donors of bags (in particular private but also a few firms), and, very importantly, support
by various local retail shops to collect the bags and spread word about the event. Besides, a banking institution (SEB) supported the event by allowing us
to use their lobby area for the sales activities.
The fundraising was earmarked for two of our local projects “ZONT Alente”, by which we support female pupils of 3 Frankfurt schools with an extraordinary
talent that cannot be supported by the school, and “die kanne”, a house where females and girls, suffering from violence, find help
