Woofstock 2021 - Huge Success! Thanks to our members and the public... Woofstock was amazing. Over $1,000 was donated in cash on that day along with 3 pickup truck loads and 1 car load of “stuff” on the Humane Society’s wishlist. 50 t-shirts were tye-died, dogs were adopted, music was listened to, sno-cones were eaten and hearts were warmed. Thank you to all who participated. The following is a Thank You from the Human Society of Weld County: We cannot thank you enough for Woofstock this weekend. It’s all we’ve been talking about since Saturday! Sometimes, it can be difficult to judge impact of events, but this was easy. Here’s what your team accomplished: Both Doug and Jaxon were adopted by Sunday Through the booth, we received $1,016 in donations We received $100 in gift cards … and the big in-kind push amounted to 462 items and 473 pounds of food. I’m getting emotional just writing this email! We’ve had a difficult year with an increase in intake, and the Weld Community Credit Union has made such a huge difference for the animals of Weld County. The Animal Care Team cheered when they saw the fresh towels arrive! The new leashes and toys have already been put to good use by our large dogs. And, last but definitely not least, the monetary donation will go toward our programs that provide medical to our animals and resources to Weld’s community pets. We are thrilled for this to be an annual event! Multiple volunteers read the recap in the Greeley Tribune and are already asking about next year. Your team absolutely knocked this out of the park. If you ever need anything from HSWC, please let me know. We are more than happy to partner with you again. Thank you again (and a million times over), Sarah What an exceptional young lady! Jordan celebrated her birthday on Saturday with WCCU at our Woofstock event. Instead of receiving gifts, she had her friends, family and co-workers donate to the Humane Society of Weld County! Thank you Jordan and friends. We hope your birthday was as special as you are!
