Noel Tobin is directorof Forbes-based manufac-turer, Tobin No-Till.
Tobin No-Till havebeen manufacturing no-tilldrills for 10 years and havesold machines throughoutNew South Wales,Queensland, Victoria,South Australia and West-ern Australia. The com-pany has also soldmachines to Canada,Africa and to former Russ-ian Federation nations likeKazakhstan, the Ukraineand Russia.
After relocating toForbes six years ago thecompany now employ 12people and look forward tomoving to a larger site atthe Forbes Central WestIndustrial Estate by theend of this year.
As another service tothe farming community,Tobins’ Luke Aguirre iscurrently travelling acrossthe country offering on site
demonstrations and hasbeen extremely pleasedwith the response fromlandholders who have been‘blown away’ by the abili-ties of the Tobin No-TillDrill. Anyone interested inan onsite demonstrationcan call Luke (0427-700-251) or Tobin No-Till on6851-2111.
Tobin No-Till are alsooffering an extra 15 percent off-season discountand Mr Tobin believes the
additional RTO no till ma-chinery tax offset is moregenerous than a similar, broader incentive off-set-ting depreciation of newmachinery. The RTO of-fers farmers a generous 15per cent offset on their taxbill if they have purchasedan eligible no-till planter inthe previous financial year.
The offset also appliesto any seeding box pur-chased to accompany thedisc planter or other no-till
device.“For anyone who was
close to buying [a no-tilldevice] in the last fewyears, they will say ‘now’sthe time’. If you werelooking to buy a car and allof a sudden there’s a 25 percent break, what wouldyou do? You’d go and get itwouldn’t you.”
Mr Tobin said he ishappy to provide more in-formation on the RTO toanyone interested.
