FCS Makes Bold Move withAdoption of New AthleticBrand!

FCS announces they have adopted a newathletic mascot! The sports teams will now beknown as the “Foothill Falcons.” The school has been identified as the Eaglesfrom its founding in 1964, but coaches andathletes have been pushing for a change inrecent years. A key factor for the switch wasdue to a large number of schools in the SanGabriel Valley Christian Sports Leaguehaving the very same mascot. Seven out ofthe ten schools in the league are also knownas the Eagles and Foothill was looking toseparate itself from the pack. The change was not easy to accept for somepeople including school superintendent, Mr.G. “We have always been the Eagles and Iwas having a hard time envisioning us asanything else.” However, the administrationlet the middle school students and facultyvote on the issue. The results wereoverwhelmingly in favor of the change. Foothill Falcons has a nice alliteration.Falcons are the fastest animal on the planet.They can fly upwards of 200 mph whendiving for their prey. The athletes, who areperennial league champions and contenders,liked the idea that a falcon is at the top of thefood chain. The athletic brand features its very own,uniquely designed logo, mascot, andlettering. The school is rolling out new athleticapparel and fan gear which are available atthe Red Dot Uniform company.
