USES of SALT

A covenant is a contract or agreement between two or more parties.

Covenant is how God has chosen • to communicate with us and • to make His Promises to us

Our Bible is a “covenant document” - The OT NT are really Old & New Covenants.

The Latin word for covenant is "TESTAMENT"

Many different Covenants in the Bible With every COVENANT that God makes He

gives a visible sign or symbol, possibly as a reminder : to man & to Himself

Noahic Covenant (Gen 9:8-17)

With Noah He used a rainbow

Abrahamic Covenant (Gen 12-17)

•With Moses He gave the 10 Commandments carved on tablets of stone

• Lev 2:13“And every offering of your grain offering you shall season with salt; you shall not allow the salt of the covenant of your God to be lacking from your grain offering. With all your offerings you shall offer salt.”
