Welcome Dear Colleagues, We are pleased to invite you to the 1st Contemporary Implantology Course in Vienna. This hands-on human specimens event is a two-day course designed to present the most commonly applied techniques and concepts in modern implantology. You will be mentored by outstanding national and international faculty to share their experience, principles and philosophy. This workshop offers hands-on experience on fesh-frozen human specimens, providing an excellent opportunity for further investigation of the surgical anatomy related to dental implant placement. This course is designed for dentists who need to learn safe implant insertion, as well as for experienced oral surgeons who wish to expand or refresh their current knowledge. In addition, you will have the opportunity to place MIS V3® dental implants and understand the unique biological and clinical benefits of the innovative V3®–Concept. We hope to meet your expectations and that all of you will return home enriched with up-to-date knowledge and enhanced skills. Goal of the course This course with hands-on-practice on human specimens is designed to present all essential operative procedures in implant dentistry.

Course description Course concept: Practicals on human anatomical specimens and lectures. This two–day intensive course offers you the chance to train on fresh frozen human specimens –prepared with the exceptional “Thiel fixation” method – under expert guidance. Each practical session will include a step-by-step introduction followed by an on–site demonstration. Participants will then perform the same technique on anatomical specimens (2 participants per anatomical specimen).

Course objectives After the course, participants should be able to:

–' carry out safe implant placement –' perform bone harvesting from the mandible (chin and retromolar area) –' enhance their surgical skills in a variety of augmentation techniques (sinus lift, bone splitting

and inlay graft, onlay graft, tunnel technique) –' gain an improved understanding of the surgical anatomy of the oral cavity –' manage peri-implant soft-tissues for better esthetics –' understand the principles of the all-on-4 treatment concept
